Leeds United have been active in the January transfer window so far and it’s drawing to a close with the deadline on Thursday.
The Whites managed to bring in Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla to raise a few eyebrows and signal their promotion intent, while they are still chasing Swansea City’s Daniel James (Yorkshire Evening Post).
But perhaps the most significant piece of business for manager Marcelo Bielsa in January will be keeping hold of centre-forward Kemar Roofe.
Barring a nightmare finale to the window with some latest interest, Leeds look set to keep hold of their top scorer and talisman in attack.
The 26-year-old striker has really stepped up this campaign for Bielsa and has 14 league goals under his belt already, which has helped the team to the top of the Championship table.

Roofe moved to Elland Road for £3million (BBC) two-and-a-half years ago and is now beginning to reach his full potential in a centre-forward role.
But according to the Mirror, Premier League club Newcastle United were eying a move for the Leeds dazzler in the January window.
The report detailed at the end of December that Newcastle could swoop for him if they had transfer funds and they now appear to be breaking their transfer market on Miguel Almiron.
Leeds can count themselves lucky that interest in Roofe has faded away and that they have managed to keep hold of him at Elland Road by the looks of it.
He is going to play a crucial role in the club’s bid for a return to the Premier League in the second half of the season and is pivotal to Bielsa’s set-up.
