As the end of Leeds United’s first season back in the Premier League looms, there remains a feeling that Marcelo Bielsa still has some way to go before he has taken the Whites as far as he can.
Leeds have enjoyed an outstanding campaign. But remarkably, the Whites still have a number of exciting players in their ranks who are yet to represent the club in the Premier League.
So with that in mind, here is a look at a potential XI made up of those yet to play for Leeds in the top flight…
Elia Caprile
Elia Caprile has been excellent for the under-23s this season. He may well be in contention to replace Kiko Casilla as Illan Meslier’s understudy next year.
Oliver Casey
Oliver Casey made his senior debut for the Whites in the Championship. He is reaching a crucial stage in his career with the 20-year-old looking more than comfortable at under-23 level.
Gaetano Berardi
If there is one player who deserves for Bielsa to change his stance on handing out sentimental appearances, it is surely Gaetano Berardi. If the Swiss – who earns around £32,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – leaves Yorkshire this summer, he surely deserves the chance to bow out in front of a packed Elland Road.
Charlie Cresswell
While Berardi may be at the end of his Leeds career, Charlie Cresswell is just starting his. The 18-year-old looks a frightening prospect.

Cody Drameh
If Cody Drameh was not a right-back, he would have surely made his first-team debut by now. The former Fulham man is desperately unlucky to be vying with Luke Ayling for a spot in the team.
Adam Forshaw
Like Berardi, it would be a huge shame if Adam Forshaw – who has played in the top flight previously – did not get the chance to play in the Premier League with Leeds after his awful luck with injury.
Alfie McCalmont
Alfie McCalmont has been superb at Oldham, particularly in front of goal. The Northern Irishman is into double figures for the season.

Crysencio Summerville
Crysencio Summerville is edging closer to that first-team debut after establishing himself as one of the most exciting talents in Mark Jackson’s ranks.
Robbie Gotts
Robbie Gotts looks to be too versatile to slip through the net at Leeds. He has recently done well in the attacking midfield role out on loan with Salford.
Joe Gelhardt
Joe Gelhardt looks to have the potential to be an incredible player. It seems remarkable that he has not yet played for the first-team after the season he has enjoyed.
Sam Greenwood
Like Gotts, Greenwood could be almost anywhere in this side and look like a real talent. His set-piece ability may accelerate his transition into a first-team regular.
With that in mind, here is the lineup in full…
