Reported Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur target Michael Olise put in another sensational performance for his team on Tuesday night.

The Reading academy graduate is one of the most highly rated youngsters in English football at present.

According to a report in The Sun from January, Leeds tried to sign Olise in the summer and remained keen on him going into the winter transfer window.

Meanwhile, a December report in The Athletic claimed Tottenham have been watching the 19-year-old for some time.

Olise looks a cut above in the Championship despite his age, with four goals and nine assists from 28 league appearances this season.

The France youth international shone once again for Reading in midweek, the Berkshire side running out 2-0 winners over Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

Lucas Joao opened the scoring after 42 minutes when he met Olise’s inswinging free-kick and slotted in at the near post, before Michael Morrison made it two on the stroke of half time.

Berkshire Live gave Olise 9 out of 10 and wrote: “Looked more of a threat playing in the centre of the attacking trio.

“Made it nine assists for the season with a lovely inswinging ball from the right to set up the opening goal for Joao.

“Produced several other beautiful crosses into the box which deserved better finishes.”

Olise played for both Chelsea and Manchester City at youth level but he’s made the breakthrough at Reading, where he’s quickly becoming one of their main stars – and assets.

Already a France Under-18 international and with his contract taking him to 2022, he’s likely to be the subject of a lot of transfer gossip next year given his talent and chance to develop further.
