Leeds Transfer News: Gue-sung Cho 'offered' to Marsch with Everton also in the mix

Leeds and Everton have both been offered the chance to sign Rangers and Celtic target, Gue-sung Cho, according to reports.

Cho is said to be high on the list of both Glasgow clubs as they look to add to their squads in the January window.

However, 90Min is reporting that there is also a wealth of interest in England when it comes to Cho. And among those clubs in the mix are Leeds and Everton, with both said to have been offered the South Korean star.

Championship duo Burnley and West Brom are also said to be keen on Cho, while Southampton are the other Premier League side who have been offered the forward.

Cho, 24, has been hugely successful in South Korea. He’s won league titles and cups and impressed in the World Cup, scoring twice against Ghana.

Whether or not those Premier League sides will make their move, remains to be seen. Leeds have just spent £30m+ on Georgino Rutter. Everton are more realistic, given their desperate need to add firepower to the squad.

Cho, it seems, has a selection of clubs to choose from. Celtic and Rangers will appeal in Scotland, but PL riches could well prove tempting.

TBR’s View: Everton need to push for Cho

Of all the clubs mentioned as being keen on Gue-sung Cho, you do feel Everton need to be the ones making the biggest push.

The Toffees are desperate to add goals. Frank Lampard needs some help and simply can’t rely on Dominic Calvert-Lewin to be consistently fit for him.

Of course, Cho is untested at this level. But he did well in the World Cup and will cost peanuts in PL money. It’s a low risk signing, and one that could prove pivotal for the Toffees.

Leeds, meanwhile, will likely stick with Rutter for now, with Patrick Bamford also back in the action last night.
