Leeds and Bradford fans reply to Bryce Hosannah’s tweet

If there was one player on the Leeds United books who arguably deserved a bit of luck more than anyone else this season, it may well have been Bryce Hosannah.

Hosannah has long been considered one of the most talented youngsters in a thriving youth system at Thorp Arch. And his inclusion in the squad for the pre-season tour to Australia in 2019 highlighted that he was on Marcelo Bielsa’s radar.

However, he has endured a frustrating time with injuries. Shortly after that trip Down Under, Hosannah was forced to undergo surgery.

A loan move to Bradford earlier this season looked to be a step in the right direction for his career. And he seemed to make an outstanding start at Valley Parade.

Unfortunately, he was denied the chance to kick on once again. He has been sidelined with injury since December.

Bradford co-manager Conor Sellars claimed last week that there was a chance that his season could be over (via Yorkshire Post). And Hosannah has now confirmed that that is the case.

The right-back took to social media to provide an update. And – remarkably, given what he has been through already in his career – he made sure to highlight how determined he is to return next season.

The news is obviously a devastating blow for Hosannah. But he will hopefully take a lot of positives from the raft of messages coming his way from both Leeds and Bradford fans.

Plenty of Bantams supporters insisted that they would love to see the 21-year-old back with them next season.

Here is Hosannah’s post, as well as some of the responses…
