Leeds and Arsenal fans respond to Eddie Nketiah’s tweet

A number of Leeds United and Arsenal fans responded to Eddie Nketiah’s message on Twitter after the striker came off the bench and scored yet again for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Leeds went into the latter stages of their Championship clash with Barnsley on Sunday looking set to endure another frustrating afternoon. They had created some fantastic chances at Oakwell, but – just as was the case against Swansea City before the international break – could not find the back of the net.

Bielsa turned to Nketiah in the 70th minute. And the Gunners loanee repaid Bielsa’s faith by scoring the game’s opening goal in the 84th minute.

The 20-year-old caused plenty of problems. He forced the goalkeeper into a good save, and won the penalty that allowed Mateusz Klich to wrap the points up.

Unsurprisingly, plenty of Leeds fans are now calling for Nketiah to make his first Championship start for the Whites when they meet Derby County next weekend.

Patrick Bamford endured a tough time against the Tykes. He has made a very good start to the season, but Nketiah’s record is frightening. He now has four goals in six appearances since moving to Elland Road.

And it is not only the Leeds fans who are delighted to see Nketiah make such an impact. The Arsenal fans have incredibly high hopes for the youngster, and are over the moon that he is, so far, living up to expectations.

Here is Nketiah’s tweet following the win, as well as the responses from the Leeds and Arsenal supporters…
