Leeds United ace Mateusz Klich has singled Wolverhampton Wanderers duo Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves for praise ahead of Friday’s Premier League clash between the two.
Marcelo Bielsa’s charges, currently 11th in the table on 32 points, head to Molineux to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, one place and two points behind the Whites, having played one more game.
Leeds go into the game on the back of a 4-2 defeat at Arsenal, while Wolves were victorious in their last outing, winning 2-1 at Southampton.
The Whites dominated the first half of October’s clash against Wolves at Elland Road but ultimately fell to a 1-0 defeat via a deflected strike from Raul Jimenez in the second half.
Asked if he felt Wolves were a good side with energy and power, Klich told BBC Radio Leeds, via the Yorkshire Evening Post: “They are.
We could see that in the first game at Elland Road and I think they are going to be focused on a counter attack.
“They have got very quick players and very good midfielders with Moutinho and Neves and they are an experienced team as well.
“Obviously they are not doing great this season but they still have very, very good players.
“We have to be careful because obviously we are going to try to win the game and try to play aggressive in their half and that’s a perfect scenario for them because they can just counter attack us and that’s why we have to be careful.”
Wolves may have had their issues this season but they’re a talented side with plenty of great players, so it’s good to hear Klich pay respect to Leeds’ upcoming opponents.
That said, while Neves and Moutinho are quality players, there have been questions over whether their midfield partnership works.
