Tottenham Hotspur legend Ledley King reckons Moussa Sissoko has been the club’s Player of the Season.
The Frenchman has enjoyed something of a renaissance this term having struggled at first following his £30 million switch from Newcastle United in 2016 (BBC Sport).
Before the current season, Sissoko had had a hard time convincing fans of his worth.

He was on the fringes and struggled to take his opportunities when they came his way.
At one stage it looked as though Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy would be best off cutting their losses over the player and trying to sell him.
But injury problems allowed Sissoko to string a run of games together earlier this season, and he seized his chance with both hands.
And in the eyes of King, Spurs haven’t had a better player than him this term.

He said on Sky Sports during coverage of Tottenham vs Huddersfield Town, as quoted by The Express: “It’s great play from Sissoko and he’s been doing this most of the season.
“Driving from midfield and he’s put a great little ball at the end of it and it’s a great finish from Lucas.
“Yeah I do [think he has been Spurs’ best player this season]. I just think he’s been so important.”
TBR’s view
Sissoko has been immense for Tottenham this year.
His form has softened the blow of losing Mousa Dembele in January, and he is a totally different player to the one that first joined the club.

His latest display against Huddersfield was another reminder of how important he has become to Tottenham.
Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane and Heung-min Son have all had great seasons, but arguably Sissoko’s brilliant turnaround has been the club’s biggest positive.
