Wolverhampton Wanderers star Leander Dendoncker finally seems to be settling in at Molineux.

It had been a tough few months for the Belgian World Cup semi-finalist, who found opportunities very hard to come by following his loan move from Anderlecht.

Dendoncker struggled to make Nuno Espirito Santo’s Premier League matchday squads in the beginning, but he made his league debut against Tottenham Hotspur recently, and started in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Dendoncker was also handed a start against Liverpool in the FA Cup, and fans really got a glimpse of what he is all about.

His gradual integration into the starting XI comes at an ideal time for Nuno Espirito Santo, who had supposedly been eyeing up a move for Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara.

Dendoncker versatility can save Wolves money

Apparently agent Jorge Mendes attempted to take matters into his own hands by offering £27 million on Wolves’ behlaf for the player to move to Molineux, RAI journalist Ciro Venerato told CalcioNapoli24.

Diawara apparently doesn’t want the move which surely rules anything out.

But it can be argued that Wolves don’t actually need him anyway anymore due to Dendocker’s arrival on the scene at just the right time.

Dendoncker has played in holding midfield against Liverpool, City and Tottenham and showed enough on each occasion to suggest that he can make the position his own ahead of Romain Saiss.
