‘League One standard’ – Leeds fans frustrated by Marcelo Bielsa’s decision to bring Stuart Dallas on

Stuart Dallas was brought on before Jack Clarke.

Leeds United slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Birmingham City yesterday to dent their automatic promotion hopes.

With Sheffield United winning at Preston North End, Leeds dropped out of the top two after failing to break down Birmingham.

Che Adams’ goal in the first half was enough to see the Blues to victory with Leeds missing a handful of chances.

And Leeds fans were bewildered by one decision by Marcelo Bielsa. At half-time, he took Jack Harrison off and brought Stuart Dallas on.

With Jack Clarke also on the bench, Leeds fans questioned Bielsa’s faith in Dallas, who was unable to inspire Leeds to victory.

The 27-year-old has been a bit-part player at Elland Road this season and he did not have the cutting edge to break through Birmingham’s defence.

Clarke was introduced later on in the match but at that point, Leeds were desperately looking for a way back into the game.

Many felt the teenager should have been brought on at half-time instead of Dallas. Here are some of the best tweets about the Northern Ireland international.
