Lazio are reportedly ready to do whatever it takes to beat Tottenham to one of their long-term transfer targets.
The north London side have ramped up their efforts in the market in recent days to secure new signings ahead of the Premier League season, with Tottenham now in talks to bring in AFC Bournemouth star Dominic Solanke.
With Tottenham also tipped to move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, the final weeks of the transfer window could be busy for Ange Postecoglou’s side, with Spurs in need of a few more reinforcements if they’re to challenge next season.
Yet Lazio are now making a play to sign a player who has been linked with Tottenham for some time.

Lazio want to go all-out to beat Tottenham to Federico Chiesa
According to Il Messaggero, Lazio have made it their mission this summer to sign Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, who is attracting plenty of interest from across Europe this window.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for Chiesa, with the Italian international set to leave Turin this summer with Thiago Motta keen to overhaul his forward options in the market.
Hailed as an ‘electric’ winger by the Italian media, interest in Chiesa has exploded this summer, with Juventus on a mission to offload the former ACF Fiorentina once and for all in the coming weeks.
And for Tottenham, they can’t allow Lazio to win the race for Chiesa, given with how intensely the Italian international has been linked with a move to north London for the past two summer transfer windows.

Tottenham need to move fast to sign Chiesa
As mentioned, Chiesa has been linked with Tottenham for some time now, with the winger remaining on Spurs’ radar despite injuries and a lack of form for Juventus in recent seasons.
Yet this summer could be as perfect a time as any for Tottenham to move to Chiesa, with the Italian up for sale and Juventus ready to cash in on the attacker to raise funds for new signings.
With Lazio pushing hard, Tottenham have what it takes to best the Serie A side to Chiesa’s signature, who at this stage in his career could be keen on a move to the Premier League.
