Paris Saint-Germain director Antero Henrique has told the French version of Yahoo Sport that Adrien Rabiot will not be signing a new contract.
Rabiot is rated as one of the best young midfielders across Europe but he is intent on leaving PSG.
His contract is up next summer and there will be a host of clubs lining up pre-contract moves for him this January.
Among them should be Tottenham Hotspur, who are desperate for reinforcements in central midfield.
With Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama’s futures in doubt and Eric Dier currently out injured, Spurs are light in this department.
Rabiot would be the ideal long-term option for Tottenham in central midfield.

The 23-year-old is a complete midfielder, offering defensive protection but also the ability to bomb forward with the ball at his feet and pick passes.
In 14 Ligue 1 games this season, Rabiot has scored twice and picked up an assist.
The France international has also completed 975 passes (including six key passes) and embarked on 15 successful dribbles, according to Who Scored.
In addition, Rabiot’s defensive work has been impressive, with 35 tackles, 18 clearances and 10 interceptions.
With lots of clubs expected to make moves for the 6ft 2in midfield man, Tottenham must start contract negotiations with him on January 1st.
