According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have intensified their interest in signing Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney. Unai Emery has apparently identified the 22-year-old as his top target as the Gunners set about trying to upgrade their defence.
Celtic would be sad to see Tierney leave, but if the north London outfit come in with a big offer then they may struggle to hang on to the full-back.
The 12-cap Scotland international is a key player for the Bhoys and was in fine form last season. He has established himself, alongside fellow full-back Andrew Robertson, as one of the most promising young Scottish players of his generation.
If he is set to leave Celtic Park behind this summer, then at least the reigning Scottish champions will be able to command a hefty fee in exchange for his services. Tierney still has several years left to run on his current contract, so he won’t be allowed to leave for a cut price.

However, given their defensive frailties, Arsenal would be wise to go all out to land Tierney this summer, and it seems that Emery realises that.
Following the reports linking Tierney with a switch to the Emirates Stadium, plenty of Celtic fans took to Twitter to give their views on the prospect of his departure.
