Alexandre Lacazette and Reiss Nelson have responded to Miguel Azeez on Instagram, while Leeds United starlet Lewis Bate has lauded the Arsenal youngster after his first goal out on loan this week.

Azeez will be hoping that he has now sparked his loan spell into life. He went into this week having only made two appearances in League One for Danny Cowley’s men.

His most recent league outing came at the weekend. And Cowley decided to promote him to the starting lineup for the Papa John’s Trophy clash with Crystal Palace’s under-21s at Fratton Park on Tuesday.

It proved to be an extremely positive night for Pompey. They won 3-0 and booked their ticket to the knockout stages.

And it was Azeez who opened the scoring during the first-half. It was a delicious finish from around 12 yards, curling the ball into the far corner.

Unsurprisingly, plenty of Arsenal fans have lauded the 19-year-old. They are now hoping that he will be in line for a lot more game-time over the coming months.

Azeez has taken to Instagram following the performance to express his delight at the performance.

And he received a number of replies from teammates from Arsenal and the England youth set-up.

Nelson offered words of encouragement for the teenager. Meanwhile, there was also praise from players such as Samuel Iling-Junior and Leeds summer signing Bate.
