A number of Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to reply to Kyle Walker-Peters’ tweet after the defender expressed his frustration with having to settle for a point at Arsenal on Wednesday.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men looked to be in with a fantastic chance of winning their third game on the spin. Theo Walcott had given the visitors the lead at the Emirates with a deft finish.

But Arsenal – who finished the game with 10 men – found an equaliser after the break. Both sides subsequently hit the woodwork, but neither could find a winner.
It says a lot about how far Southampton have come that many will have been disappointed with the result. And Walker-Peters appears to have been one of those who felt that it was a missed opportunity.

The full-back took to social media following the game, and was clearly not happy. However, many responded with messages of encouragement.
Walker-Peters was outstanding against the Gunners. The former Tottenham man defended superbly, and he is doing a fantastic job of vindicating the club’s decision to make his loan permanent in the summer.
Plenty of fans lauded the 23-year-old’s performance, as well as his overall form for the Saints this season. Several suggested that he was the best player on the pitch against Mikel Arteta’s side.
Here is Walker-Peters’s tweet, as well as some of the best responses…
