Kyle Walker-Peters produced a superb response after Harry Winks took to Instagram following Tottenham Hotspur’s Carabao Cup win on Wednesday night.

Jose Mourinho’s men are through to the last four of the competition after beating Stoke City. The game was notable as it included an event rarely seen since Winks broke into the Tottenham first-team in 2014.

The midfielder set up Gareth Bale’s opener with a superb cross. The ball was destined for the corridor of uncertainty around the goalkeeper’s far post before the Welshman glanced it into the bottom corner.

Remarkably, that saw Winks contribute only the third assist of his Spurs career.

The goal also came just a few weeks after the 24-year-old scored a freak goal in the Europa League. Winks managed to lob the Ludogorets goalkeeper from around 40 yards.

His celebration however, hinted that he may have not meant to score at all. And with Bale making a run into the box at the same time, it appeared that he may have actually made a terrible attempt at trying to find the forward.

And former Spurs defender Walker-Peters seemingly wanted to remind Winks of that moment after the midfielder took to Instagram following the victory.

Here is Winks’s post, followed by the Southampton man’s outstanding response…
