Kyle Walker and Graham Roberts react as Tottenham draw Manchester City

Kyle Walker and Graham Roberts have reacted on Twitter after Tottenham Hotspur drew Manchester City in the last eight of the Champions League.

Spurs have reached the quarter-finals after two excellent performance against Borussia Dortmund, winning 4-0 on aggregate. Now, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City stand between Spurs and the semi-finals.

City have won their last three meetings with Spurs. Riyad Mahrez’s sixth-minute strike was enough for City to earn a 1-0 win at Wembley last time out, back in October.

Former Spurs defender Walker and Tottenham icon Roberts have both taken to Twitter in reaction to the draw, which will see the winner take on either Ajax or Juventus.

TBR’s view

Spurs are in for a seriously tough test. City are in excellent form as they continue in their pursuit of the quadruple. But Spurs may bank on relocating to their new stadium to give them a chance.

Indeed, it is believed Spurs will be in their new ground for the last eight clash. The first leg is at home on April 9, before the return leg takes place a week later on the 16th. Four days after that, the two go head to head in the league.

The chances of Spurs progressing are very slim. City are the favourites to lift the whole tournament, but a win at their new stadium could turn the tie into Mauricio Pochettino’s favour.
