Kyle Scott has claimed on Instagram he’s ready to get down to work following his move to Newcastle United.
The midfielder completed a move to St James’ Park on Monday and he joins after his 12-year spell with Chelsea came to an end this summer.
He was available on a free transfer this summer and Steve Bruce’s side have added him to their squad.
Scott is a highly-rated youngster that has spent most of his career in the Chelsea academy, but did earn one senior appearance for them in 2018 in an FA Cup tie against Hull City.
The 21-year-old is a central midfielder that likes to join in with attacks and he’ll be hoping his switch to the North-East can help him breakthrough into senior football.
“Exciting new chapter for myself, happy to have signed for Newcastle and can’t wait to get started. Meet the fans & play for this great club. Ready to work,” Scott wrote on his personal Twitter account.

TBR’s View:
Newcastle’s midfield is beginning to take shape under Bruce, with the likes of Jonjo Shelvey and Sean Longstaff appearing to be in pole position to line up in the centre of the park.
Scott could turn out to be a great under the radar signing for Newcastle and he wouldn’t be the first quality player to slip through the net at Stamford Bridge.
He had a loan spell with Dutch second-tier club Telstar last season to have a taste of first-team football, but is yet to reach his full potential.
The midfielder has to try emulate his new teammate Longstaff, who made the step up at Newcastle superbly from academy to the first-team.
