Rangers have clearly been letting their young players know who can stay and who can go this week. Liam Burt and Scott Gray are two youngsters who have confirmed they will be leaving the club this summer.

They have now been joined by another.

Rangers’ centre-back Kyle Bradley has confirmed he will be leaving Ibrox this summer. His contract in Glasgow expires next month and he took to Twitter to confirm his exit from Rangers.

The 20-year-old has made his way into the Rangers first-team previously. Back in May 2017, he came on for Martyn Waghorn during a Scottish Premiership clash with St Johnstone.

It was Pedro Caixinha who gave him that debut moment. Steven Gerrard has not had similar faith.

Bradley clearly felt that the new arrival could give him a chance, as he told the Glasgow Evening Times. Despite making the bench for the Europa League qualifier with FC Shkupi he was soon loaned out.

“It is really encouraging for us that we can see that pathway into the first team from the 20s. Maybe it has not been like that in previous years.

“With the gaffer and the coaching staff coming in, even the one that aren’t with the first team just now can look at us and see they can be involved.

“That is really important and it is a real motivation for the 20s knowing that the gaffer is keeping an eye on you.”

He has spent most of this season with Annan Athletic and has been a regular in their promotion fight. It is clear that he has talent in abundance but just not what Rangers are looking for to continue closing the gap to Old Firm rivals Celtic. Rangers fans will undoubtedly wish him all the best.
