Everton defender Kurt Zouma believes that manager Marco Silva has made him a much better player.
The 24-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Goodison Park from Chelsea and has been an important player for the Toffees.
He’s made 31 appearances across all competitions this campaign and formed a solid partnership alongside Michael Keane in the heart of defence.
The centre-back is renowned for being a monster in the air, while he’s got good pace too and reads the game well.
Zouma feels that Portuguese boss Silva has managed to help take his game up to another level this season on Merseyside.
“I think I have improved in every aspect [since joining Everton],” Zouma said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
“Physically, tactically and defensively I have improved a lot. That’s especially due to the manager who helps me a lot.”
Zouma certainly is a proven defender in the Premier League and before his injury setback a couple of years with Chelsea he looked a real force.
The Frenchman is part of a back four under Silva that is finally beginning to look settled and certainly has a lot of potential.
He’s got all the traits of a modern centre-back with his pace and power, while he offers a nice balance too alongside Keane.
Whether Everton will be able to land him on a permanent deal remains to be seen, but his spell this year has definitely helped him find some consistency.
