Manchester United have entered the final international break of 2024 with change on its way to Old Trafford.
An underwhelming start to the campaign has the Red Devils slumped down in 13th spot of the Premier League table.
But Manchester United have made the decision to change their manager with Erik ten Hag replaced by Ruben Amorim.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 11 | 11 | 5 | 1 | 5 | 22 | 22 | 0 | 16 | |
| 12 | 11 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 15 | 15 | 0 | 15 | |
| 13 | 11 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 12 | 12 | 0 | 15 | |
| 14 | 11 | 3 | 3 | 5 | 13 | 19 | -6 | 12 |
Ruud van Nistelrooy will now be moved on from United with Amorim set to start afresh at the Theatre of Dreams.
However, one player has been looking back at one talent which the Red Devils used to have on their books back in 2015.
Kobbie Mainoo has established himself as one of the starters at United over the last year but he has now spoken about some of the real legends of the game.

Manchester United’s Kobbie Manioo ranks Angel Di Maria higher than Kaka
Speaking to GOAL, Mainoo was asked to rank three legends of the game in Ronaldinho, Kaka and Angel Di Maria.
The latter, of course, spent time at United back in 2014 before leaving for Paris Saint-Germain in the following year.
Despite not exactly being a success at United, Mainoo recognised the Argentina international’s talent as he ranked him between Ronaldinho and Kaka.
Although Di Maria has been able to lift two Copa Americas and one World Cup, it is perhaps a bit of a surprise Mainoo ranked him above Kaka.
Di Maria’s time at Old Trafford may have been short but Man United are trying to extend Mainoo’s stay with a new contract.

Di Maria blamed Louis van Gaal for his Man United struggles
It really was a tricky period for the Argentine winger in Manchester with Di Maria showing United what they missed out on when he moved on to PSG.
| Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Real Madrid | 190 | 36 | 85 |
| PSG | 295 | 93 | 119 |
| Man United | 32 | 4 | 11 |
The winger only made 20 starts in the Premier League that season despite landing in a big money deal from Real Madrid.
As he endured his struggles, Di Maria later came out and told ESPN Argentina that Van Gaal was the worst manager he’s ever played under.
‘The worst [manager] is Van Gaal, you can be sure of that. In case you had any doubt, I’ll clear that up for you right now,’ he said.
