Liverpool sent out a huge message yesterday with their 7-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have laid down a marker to their Premier League title rivals, with a ruthless display at Selhurst Park which was largely a masterclass in finishing.
It was a sure-fire sign that they are still very much the team to beat this term.

It seemed everyone was on top of their game against the Eagles, but there is one man who may be feeling somewhat disappointed.
Divock Origi has been linked with a January exit from Anfield, with Wolves said to be keen to take the Belgian forward.
Yesterday might have been a good opportunity for him to get some minutes, but rather than send him on in place of Sadio Mane on 57 minutes, Klopp instead sent on Mo Salah.
The decision proved inspired with the Egyptian scoring twice and assisting, but one wonders if it’s a sign Origi could be off next month.
TBR’s View – Ominous times for Origi
With Liverpool 4-0 up at the time of Mane’s substitution, the result was beyond any doubt.

Surely Klopp could have put Origi on ahead of Salah to perhaps give him the chance to prove he still has a role to play this season.
But the £50,000-a-week former Lille ace (Spotrac) was overlooked, and one has to wonder whether Klopp’s trust in him has eroded and he’ll be departing in January.
It would little surprise if the player himself was left wondering why he didn’t get a cameo yesterday, and if he is now considering his options.
