Liverpool travel to France on Wednesday night to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

With Liverpool on six points and PSG on five points with two games to play, this could potentially decide whether the Reds qualify for the knockout round.

But Jurgen Klopp should also treat this midweek trip to Paris as a scouting mission.

With central midfield an area he may potentially look to strengthen, it is the perfect opportunity to judge how good Adrien Rabiot is.

Rabiot is likely to line up in midfield for PSG, up against Liverpool’s current midfield trio.

The 23-year-old is a tall, ball-playing central midfielder with a high reputation and the potential to get even better.

Klopp should cast a keen eye over Rabiot’s performance, especially up against Jordan Henderson.

The Liverpool skipper has been erratic this season and many Liverpool fans feel they could upgrade on him.

Rabiot is available on a free transfer this summer, should he choose not to extend his ties with PSG, and Liverpool would be an exciting destination for him.

The six cap France international has spent his whole career at PSG – aside from a loan spell at Toulouse – and a move to the Premier League might interest him.
