Klopp has an 'unreal' attacking talent at Liverpool who looks so inspired - TBR View
After last year’s struggles, Liverpool are looking back to their very best.
The Reds are joint-top of the Premier League table, top of their Champions League group and in the fourth round of the League Cup.
The likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez returning to fitness has obviously been a huge boost for Liverpool.
But a couple of fringe players are now starting to look really good, and fans should be excited about what they could keep bringing this season.
Take Divock Origi – last season, he made just 17 appearances, of which six were starts, and claimed just one goals and two assists.
This term, however, he’s already match his goal and assist tally from last season – in just three games.
Jurgen Klopp recently admitted that he was sure Origi was leaving in the summer – “we all thought there would be a proper offer”.
Nevertheless, the transfer window is now shut, the 26-year-old remains at Anfield – and he’s certainly making the most of it.
Origi looks hungry and inspired, and it shows on the pitch, as per his impressive performances against AC Milan and Norwich.
The Liverpool Echo gave him 8 out of 10 for his display at Carrow Road.
They wrote: “Provided a focal point for the attack, pressed well and presence provided assist for the opener.
“Brilliant header for Liverpool’s second and close with another effort. He’s back – again.”
Origi is popular around the dressing room and his peers have always said he’s a top player.
And now he’s looking more hungry and inspired than ever, hopefully he can keep up winning game time and getting goals and assists.
