Kieran Tierney sends Instagram message to Scott Brown after Celtic exit is confirmed

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has posted a heartfelt message on Instagram to Scott Brown, who confirmed yesterday that he would be exiting Celtic at the end of the season.

The Bhoys confirmed on their website that club captain Brown will be ending a 14-year spell with Celtic this summer.

Central midfielder Brown, 35, is taking up a new position as the player/coach with Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen.

The veteran has agreed a pre-contract deal with Aberdeen, and will leave Parkhead with 10 league titles to his name.

Tierney, who won five league titles with Celtic himself alongside Brown, sent an emotional message congratulating his ex-teammate for his achievements ahead of his transfer.

TBR’s View:

Brown’s time at Celtic has unfortunately petered out during a difficult time this season, and it’s a travesty that he’s had no supporters in the ground to watch his final year at the club.

But his iconic status with the Scottish giants is secured.

If his management career goes anything like his playing one, then he’s going to be very successful.

The aggressive midfielder will still hope he can offer something on the pitch and he’s shown in the last month with Celtic he’s still capable, but it’s going to be so exciting to see how his coaching develops.
