Former Celtic star reacts on Instagram to Scott Brown celebration against Rangers

Former Celtic player Scott Brown enjoyed a memorable return to enemy territory last night. He scored as Aberdeen claimed a 2-2 draw against Rangers at Ibrox. Afterwards, Arsenal star Kieran Tierney and former Hoops player Gary Hooper reacted to the midfielder’s post on Instagram.

Brown spent 15 years playing for Celtic. He spent plenty of time winding up the Rangers fan base and last night was no different. After putting the Dons 2-0 up he proceeded to mock Alfredo Morelos’ celebration in front of the home supporters.

The Colombian would hit back. He halved the deficit two minutes after Brown’s goal; with James Tavernier equalising for Steven Gerrard’s team after a very contentious looking penalty was awarded.

Brown ended his long-standing association with Celtic in the summer. He opted to take on a role at Pittodrie which will see him combine playing with coaching as part of Stephen Glass’ coaching staff.

Clearly, his goal meant a lot to the green and white half of Glasgow. They found it quite amusing and so to did some former teammates of the legendary Celtic skipper.

What have Tierney and Hooper said to former Celtic star Brown scoring at Rangers?

Tierney is now a mainstay in the Arsenal team. He’s really kicked on since leaving Celtic and has taken the Premier League by storm. The former Hoops player summed up Brown’s brilliance last night with a single word on Instagram.

Hooper proved himself a big hit among the Celtic fan base. He scored some massively important goals and also enjoyed a decent career playing in the Championship south of the border.

He chose three words to sum up Brown’s cheeky goal against Rangers, also included an applause emoji at the end of his congratulatory message.
