Arsenal picked up a crucial win in the Premier League this weekend, beating London rivals Chelsea 3-1 at The Emirates.

Goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka secured all three points for Arsenal despite a late scare involving Tammy Abraham’s close-range finish and Bernd Leno’s penalty save.

It was a strong display from the Gunners which was perpetuated by the performances of Arsenal’s youngsters.

Emile Smith-Rowe got a rare league start, Saka was immense yet again whilst the recent injury returnee Gabriel Martinelli was also in fine form. Joe Willock then impressed from the bench.

Kieran Tierney was also in outstanding form and the Scotland international praised the display of Arsenal’s young guns after the game.

“All the youngsters here are hungry to play,” Tierney told Sky Sports. “It’s a big club and they’ve got the platform to play. They’ve come on today and started today and they were brilliant.”

Arsenal fans would have undoubtedly been impressed with the display of their youngsters. Some have been calling for the younger talents to get a chance under Mikel Arteta amid the disappointing displays of several experienced heads in the first-team and they did not disappoint this evening.

Arsenal fans will just hope the young talents can continue to thrive if given the chance this season.
