Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has undergone surgery on his shoulder injury and taken to Instagram to thank the club’s fans for their support.
The Independent reported last week that the Gunners could be without Tierney for three months after he suffered yet another injury blow.
He picked up the injury in an awkward fall in the 3-1 win against West Ham at the London Stadium but surgery seems to have gone well from the looks of the message he posted.
Tierney wrote: “Op done. Soup terrible. Thank [you] as always for the lovely messages. Helping me a lot.”

TBR’s View – Arsenal fans unlikely to see the best of Tierney until next season now
Tierney has another period of recovery to embark upon in a career which has already been afflicted by injury problems aplenty.
He will return to first team action to play for a new manager, still looking for his first proper run of games in the Gunners side and seeking match fitness.
That means that Tierney is unlikely to show his best form until next season, when he will have had a full pre-season to get himself fit and accustomed to the demands of the new Arsenal boss, whoever that may be.
