Kieran Tierney has two-word description for Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka
Arsenal star Kieran Tierney is under no illusions when it comes to the quality that his teammate Bukayo Saka has in his locker.
Saka enjoyed a stellar season with the Gunners last year. He was the key man in a team full of inconsistencies and was rewarded with a place in the England squad for this summer.
Gareth Southgate called upon Saka in the game against Czech Republic and he delivered in abundance. The youngster was class on the night, and won the man of the match award.
And while answering an Arsenal Q&A today, Tierney had a short and sharp description when asked to explain what he made of Saka.
It’s not surprising to see Tierney praise Saka so much in such a simplistic way. The pair enjoyed great chemistry down the left last season at times.
Saka, it seems, is very much in line to be a superstar for both Arsenal and England. The term world-class is banded about a lot. But in Saka’s case, he very much has a chance of getting to that level.
Tierney praises Saka and rightly so
Few expected Saka to be so good last season. Even less people expected him to suddenly be in the conversation to start for England. But here we are.
Saka has been superb in fairness to him. He gets better week on week, and his versatility doesn’t seem to affect him either.
The feeling is probably mutual from Saka’s end towards Tierney. The Scot is also a quality player, and his new contract is a huge plus for the club.
If Arsenal are to do well next year, then Saka and Tierney will be vital.
