Arsenal were imperious this evening as they saw off Leeds United at Elland Road with ease to continue their climb towards the Champions League places come season’s end.

The Gunners were 3-0 up at the break and could have had even more in honesty. A double from Gabi Martinelli and a deflected effort from Bukayo Saka ensured the game was all but dead at the end of the opening 45.

Raphinha did give Leeds some hope from the spot. However, substitute Emile Smith Rowe fired in from Martin Odegaard’s through ball to make it 4-1 and put the game beyond the home side. And it was the performance of Odegaard which had Arsenal fans purring on Twitter.

The Norwegian has hit top form lately and seems to be firmly cemented as the main man in the number 10. His goals and assists will be pleasing Mikel Arteta, while they’re certainly impressing Gunners fans too. Indeed, Twitter was awash with comments praising Odegaard’s display.
