Nathaniel Clyne’s spell at Liverpool looks to be coming to an end as BBC Sport report that he is close to joining Bournemouth, but it could open the door to 16-year-old summer signing Ki-Jana Hoever.
The right-back has rocketed through the club’s youth system, going from the under 18s to training with the first team in just four months since joining from Ajax.
Now, the Dutch youth international could make his first team debut as fixtures pile up. Jurgen Klopp is likely to be keen to rest Trent Alexander-Arnold and alternative Joe Gomez remains sidelined with a broken leg.

Hoever has impressed coaches on Merseyside and all that remains to be seen is whether Klopp is willing to gamble on him in lesser ties, such as Monday’s FA Cup third round clash with Wolves.
Continuing his progress will involve gaining himself an established place in the squad as Alexander-Arnold’s alternative, particularly before Gomez returns to full fitness.
The youngster has work to do, but few players can hope to be so close to a first team debut at just 16 years of age as is the case for Hoever, who will surely be one of the club’s brightest prospects in the years to come.
