Kevin Kyle has told Open Goal that Eddie Howe would struggle at Celtic as Neil Lennon continues to come under mounting pressure as manager – claiming that when he came under pressure at Bournemouth he folded “like a deck of cards”.
Lennon is coming under massive criticism having won just two of Celtic’s last 10 league and cup outings. The Hoops have been knocked out of the Europa League and the Betfred Cup in the past week – losing to Ross County at Parkhead on Sunday.
A number of managers have been linked with the role, after supporters called for his sacking in protests on Sunday evening – following a banner from the Green Brigade earlier last week. Howe is one of those, as he remains without a club.
Howe was sacked by Bournemouth after 458 games as manager across two spells – taking the Cherries from the lowly depths of the Football League to the Premier League. But Kyle thinks he would be eaten alive in the pressure cooker of the Old Firm.
