Kevin Campbell has told The Highbury Squad that Ivan Toney would be a very good signing for Arsenal if a deal was at all possible with the Gunners now sweating on the news concerning Gabriel Jesus.
Jesus will play no further part in the World Cup after picking up an injury in Brazil’s final group game. It is not yet clear how long the 25-year-old will be sidelined for.

Jesus has been an unbelievable signing for the Gunners. And there is now a major question mark over how they will fare should they lose him for any substantial period.
Toney would be a good Arsenal signing
Eddie Nketiah has taken his game to another level in recent months, it seems. However, he is unproven leading the line for a side which has now got its sights set on the Premier League title.

With that, some Arsenal fans will hope that the club strengthen in January should Jesus be out for a long time. But who comes in could be a real conundrum for the Gunners hierarchy.
It was suggested by a supporter that Toney would be worth considering. And Campbell claimed that he would be very happy if the Brentford star ended up at the Emirates.
“Someone just put in Ivan Toney. If you could make that happen, that would be a very good signing because, as you know, he’s somebody that can hold it up,” he told The Highbury Squad.
“And that’s been our problem a lot of the time. If Jesus isn’t there, we need somebody to be able to hold it up, we need a physical presence up there, somebody that can score goals. That wouldn’t be a bad shout.”
Toney has done remarkably well in the Premier League with the Bees. He scored 12 goals for Thomas Frank’s men last season following their promotion.
And he is already well on his way to eclipsing that tally this time around. The 26-year-old has 10 goals in 14 games in the top-flight. Mikel Arteta meanwhile, labelled his journey ‘extraordinary‘ earlier this season.
Brentford would probably have little interest in selling Toney in January. With that, he could potentially cost an enormous amount. And therefore, a move to Arsenal seems unlikely.
But if Jesus is sidelined for a substantial period, Arsenal really have to consider pushing the boat out.
