Kevin Campbell has claimed that Nicolas Pepe is the Arsenal player who always does the most work after training.
Campbell, who is no longer involved with the Gunners but will have connections from his playing career, has been told Pepe is someone who is always doing extra yards on the training ground.
Pepe, 25, is a player that has had a mixed time since his move to the Emirates Stadium for a club-record £72million fee in 2019 from Lille.
The £100,000-a-week attacker hasn’t quite lived up to expectations, albeit he’s shown glimpses of his individual ability.
He is a left-footed winger that prefers to cut inside from the right and he’s also a set-piece specialist.
“Something that I learned is there is one player at the club who does the most work after training, and that’s Nicolas Pepe,” Campbell told Highbury Squad.
“One-on-one with the manager, explaining what he wants, working at positioning, receiving. Now we are starting to see Pepe look more like a consistent player. Hard work pays off.

TBR’s View:
Pepe has enjoyed some fairly regular game time lately in Mikel Arteta’s XI and is enjoying one of his best spells of form for the North London club.
The right-winger scored in the weekend’s 3-1 away win at Leicester City in the Premier League, which means he’s now got eight goals in 30 games across all competitions this season.
He appears to be growing in confidence right now and should be aiming to nail down a permanent starting position.
If Arsenal can get all their forward players firing at the same time, they would have some serious ammunition with the likes of Pepe, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
