Kevin Campbell has ripped into Arsenal’s Dani Ceballos after his performance a couple of days ago against Villarreal.
The Gunners were beaten 2-1 by Spanish opposition on Thursday night in the first leg of a Europa League semi-final tie.
It means Mikel Arteta’s side trail on aggregate going into next week’s second leg with Villarreal, but they may have what turns out to be a crucial away goal in the tie.
Ceballos, 24, endured yet another poor display on the European stage.
The Spanish central midfielder, who is on loan at the north London club from Real Madrid, has already made some high-profile errors during the Europa League competition en route to the semi-final.
However, his red card against Villarreal was a real low point, as he was sent off early in the second half for a second yellow card.
Arsenal-supporting pundit Campbell has claimed he doesn’t think that Ceballos has the engine to play in the centre of the park.
“Dani Ceballos doesn’t have legs in the midfield. They (Villarreal) were playing around him,” Campbell told Highbury Squad.
“They weren’t doing that to [Thomas] Party, they were playing around Ceballos. I watched it time and again. He hasn’t got the legs to get back. He’s a luxury player. He’s good on the ball, at times, but tracking people he was giving fouls away. He made [Juan] Foyth look like Cafu.
“As soon as Ceballos went off, down to 10 men, everything changed. There was more calm in the team.”

TBR’s View:
If everyone is fit in the Arsenal squad, Ceballos certainly doesn’t belong in the starting XI.
He’s coming up to two years on loan with the Gunners, and there have been some serious moments of quality.
However, he’s put in some poor displays throughout this campaign, and supporters have grown extremely frustrated with him
Ceballos has the technical quality, but can find it difficult with the physical aspect and coping in the big games.
