Former Arsenal fan favourite Kevin Campbell was buzzing after yesterday’s 4-0 win for the Gunners over Newcastle United. He reserved special praise for Alexandre Lacazette who ended his recent goal drought.
The French striker hadn’t scored for 10 Premier League games prior to yesterday and supporters will hope this can kick-start his campaign.

Campbell knows all about scoring goals for the Gunners. He scored 46 during his seven years at the club having risen through the youth ranks.
Arsenal signed Lacazette from Lyon for £46.5 million back in 2017 (BBC). The £182,000-a-week forward has netted 43 goals in 111 appearances for the club.
Campbell took to Twitter to speak of his delight at seeing a return to form for the 28-year-old after he rounded off the win over Newcastle.
Mikel Arteta’s men ended a run of four draws on the spin to secure a big three points.
It’ll be a thankless task to try and secure European football but at least now they are in contention with the other teams in the top half.
Yesterday offered some signs of progress, with Arteta clearly stamping his own authority on how he wants his team to play.

Arsenal produced several sweeping moves and at times in the second half, Newcastle couldn’t handle them.
Lacazette only played the last five minutes of yesterday’s contest but the goal will have done wonders for his confidence.
Not scoring for so many games isn’t good for a striker who is usually so prolific and the hope will be that he can now kick on and fire the Gunners into Europe.
