Alan Shearer has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur’s Dejan Kulusevski had a difficult evening at Fulham on Saturday.

It was a miserable trip across London for Tottenham as they suffered a 3-0 defeat at Craven Cottage.

The result will come as a huge disappointment for Ange Postecoglou after his side thrashed Aston Villa 4-0 on the road just six days before.

There were disappointing performances all over the pitch from Spurs’ point of view, particularly in midfield and the forward areas.

Tottenham were wasteful in front of goal on the night and Dejan Kulusevski, who’s usually at the centre of Spurs’ best attacking moments, was particularly quiet.

And Alan Shearer believes that was down to Fulham’s Antonee Robinson.

Speaking to the Premier League’s official website, Shearer named Robinson in his Team of the Week after he dealt with the threat of Kulusevski.

“Kept Dejan Kulusevski quiet all evening, produced an assist and could have got another. An excellent performance at left-back,” the Newcastle United legend said.

Kulusevski has established himself as a key part of Postecoglou’s side this season, racking up six goals and three assists in the Premier League.

But he certainly struggled at Fulham on Saturday, alongside a host of Spurs’ key players.

It was a disappointing performance from the 23-year-old after he played such a key role in their win at Villa beforehand.

Yet, the odd poor display is to be expected as Kulusevski and Tottenham continue to adapt to Postecoglou’s demanding methods.

Spurs face a favourable run of fixtures after the international break as they play Luton, West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

Kulusevski and Postecoglou will certainly be determined to bounce back after what was an undeniably poor performance at Fulham.
