The international break is a brilliant opportunity for Liverpool’s players to find some form or make their bid to go to the World Cup.

One nation that won’t be competing in Qatar is Northern Ireland, but they still had an important match against Kosovo.

Their manager Ian Baraclough spoke after the game, via Belfast Live, after finally recording their first Nations League win.

Baraclough’s side were relegated last time around, and had then gone 14 matches without a victory in the competition.

However, late goals from Gavin Whyte and Josh Magennis finally secured an important win for the Green and White Army.

One player who made an impact yesterday was Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley.

Bradley was ‘fantastic’ for Northern Ireland yesterday, and certainly impressed his manager.

Speaking after the game, Baraclough said: “We have new players coming through.

“I thought Conor Bradley was fantastic at right wing-back and then right-back.

“He kept going forward.”

It’s a testament to the 19-year-old’s ability that he was comfortable playing two different roles.

It was Bradley’s ninth senior cap, becoming a mainstay in the side during this Nations League campaign.

He’s been on loan at Bolton Wanderers this season, giving Bradley his first opportunity to play regular first-team minutes.

The full-back has a ‘knack for getting into dangerous positions’, which will be music to Jurgen Klopp’s ears.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is Klopp’s current first choice right-back, and has become one of the most creative players in the Premier League.

His form this season has been called into question, although new signing Calvin Ramsay isn’t currently available to challenge him.

Bradley has been called-up by Klopp in the past, and he’ll be hoping to continue catching his manager’s eye.

If Bradley keeps putting in fantastic performances for Northern Ireland and Bolton, it could give Klopp a difficult decision to make next season.
