Ryan Kent has admitted that he is fully focused on his career with Rangers despite reported interest in recent weeks linking the winger to a move to the Premier League.

Speaking with Sky Sports News, the English attacker revealed that, although it was good to be rumoured with a move to other clubs, he is happy at Rangers, with the Scottish Premiership winners set to play UEFA Champions League football next season for the first time in over a decade.

The Scottish Sun reported last month that Leeds United were, again, interested in signing Kent, with the Yorkshire side plotting a £15m move for the former Liverpool academy player, yet despite interest from the Premier League, the 24-year-old insists he is happy with the Glaswegian club.

Kent said: “It is nice to be linked with other football clubs, other big clubs, but you have got to understand your duty of where you are at. For as long as I’m at Rangers I will always give 100 per cent to the football club. I love this place, it has done so much for me so, as long as I am here, my mind is solely focused on Rangers.”

TBR View: Rangers can afford to keep Kent for one more season with UCL football to come

This summer will likely see numerous Rangers players be courted by other clubs following from their incredible league season in the Scottish Premiership, yet whilst Steven Gerrard could afford to allow some names to leave should the right offer come in, Kent is someone the Gers simply have to keep at all costs.

The English attacker has been one of the club’s best players over the past season seasons with the Ibrox club, and with Champions League football on the horizon, the 24-year-old winger could be convinced to stay for another season as Rangers embark on their first campaign in Europe’s top-flight competition in years, something Kent will likely relish the chance in competing in.
