Liverpool head into the new season as Premier League champions, but they also head into this new campaign with a number of unknowns.
Indeed, the Reds have revamped their squad with new signings in the shape of Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong, while Hugo Ekitike is also set to sign.
Meanwhile, one of Liverpool’s most important players has also left the club as Trent Alexander-Arnold has moved to Real Madrid.
Speaking to The Redmen TV, Kenny Dalglish has been discussing Alexander-Arnold’s departure from Liverpool, and he says that this may not be too big of a blow due to the presence of Conor Bradley.

Kenny Dalglish backs Conor Bradley to step up
Dalglish spoke about Liverpool’s right-back situation.
The Liverpool legend noted that it was a shame to lose Alexander-Arnold, but he says the blow is somewhat softened by the fact Conor Bradley is at the club.
“Unfortunately, we lost Trent, but he has a young boy there that is not too bad, Conor Bradley,” Dalglish said.
“We wish Trent all the best at Real Madrid and thank him for the service he did at the club. We have to get rid of any anger or any antagonism and support the people who are playing now, because they’re the ones who are important.”
Conor Bradley compared to Trent Alexander-Arnold
Dalglish expects Bradley to step up and help with replacing Alexander-Arnold, and there’s every reason for Liverpool supporters to be excited by this young man.
Bradley earned plenty of praise last season, but the stats show that he’s not quite ready to replicate Alexander-Arnold just yet.
| Conor Bradley | Trent Alexander-Arnold | |
| 19 | Games | 33 |
| 0 | Goals | 3 |
| 2 | Assists | 6 |
| 0.1 | Crosses per game | 1.2 |
| 0.7 | Tackles per game | 2.2 |
| 0.2 | Interceptions per game | 0.9 |
Of course, Jeremie Frimpong has arrived as a new big-money right-back option at Liverpool, and his numbers are perhaps more exciting, even if they’re not quite up to Alexander-Arnold’s standards.
| Jeremie Frimpong | Trent Alexander-Arnold | |
| 33 | Games | 33 |
| 5 | Goals | 3 |
| 5 | Assists | 6 |
| 0.8 | Crosses per game | 1.2 |
| 1 | Tackles per game | 2.2 |
| 0.2 | Interceptions per game | 0.9 |
Bradley may not have done enough to warrant a claim to a starting spot ahead of Frimpong, but if Kenny Dalglish thinks he’s a good player, he’s certainly ready to make some sort of impact this season.
Bradley will certainly have a part to play for Liverpool this season, that’s for sure.
