'Wonderful', 'starboy': Some Man City fans wowed by 'generational' talent in their ranks
Manchester City fans have praised Ferran Torres following his Champions League display on Wednesday night.
The 21-year-old joined the Citizens last summer in a £21million move from Valencia.
Torres enjoyed a superb maiden season at the Etihad, registering 13 goals and three assists from 36 games in all competitions.
He also starred for Spain at Euro 2020, making six appearances en route to the semi-finals.
This season, Torres has hit the ground running for City, with two goals and an assist under his belt from four Premier League games.
On Wednesday, the Spaniard did well as Pep Guardiola’s charges ran out 6-3 winners over RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Torres was unlucky to see a fine goal disallowed for offside, made plenty of good runs and dropped deep to create space for his teammates.
He took to Twitter after the game:
And Man City fans were eager to praise and support their star boy:
our new number 9 here is getting better with every passing day. He’s where you expect a number 9 to be when the ball is played into the box or when a run has to be made. Keep it up Ferrandowski— UZZY (@uzzygg) September 15, 2021
