James Pearce has suggested on the 1892 Podcast that it is worth keeping an eye on a potential move to Liverpool for Donyell Malen.
Striker inbound?
Liverpool have been heavily linked with the forward in recent times, with the club even said to be in discussions with his agent Mino Riaola (Voetbal).
While Pearce refutes that the potential transfer is that far down the line, he does suggest that the striker is a player who Liverpool like.
And the transfer could be one to keep an eye on as they transfer window progresses.
“He certainly has admirers at Liverpool – he has been watched closely,” Pearce said of the striker, who has been called ‘great’ by Wesley Sneijder (Voetbal).
“It hasn’t gone any further than initial enquiries. I think a lot would depend on player sales at the top end. It is certainly one to keep an eye on.”

Intriguing update
That update is sure to excite Liverpool fans, as Malen could be an appealing signing.
The Dutchman netted 27 goals last term for PSV, and went on to impress at Euro 2020.
If he was to sign for Liverpool he would give them a strong alternative option for Roberto Firmino.
While the Brazilian likes to drop deep, Malen is far more keen to play on the shoulder of the last man and he could add even more menace to Liverpool’s attacking ranks.
