Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed on CBS Podcast Que Golazo that Arsenal will discover the fate of Dominik Szoboszlai in two weeks.

The Gunners, AC Milan and RB Leipzig are all keen on the player who will be allowed to leave if a release clause worth £22.5 million is matched.

Szoboszlai has scored eight goals and registered nine assists during the 2020/21 campaign to date and is one of the most wanted young talents in Europe.

The 20-year-old has also helped Hungary to next summer’s European Championships – whilst he could help Salzburg to the last 16 of the Champions League next week.

Arsenal are in desperate need of a player capable of making things happen and in the left-winger, they would certainly be getting that.

The Gunners are languishing in 14th place in the Premier League and have scored just 10 goals so far this season.

Szoboszlai would be an eye-catching addition for Arsenal but with stiff competition, they might not be considered the frontrunners.

One way or another Romano believes the long-running saga surrounding the Hungarian is nearing an end.

He told CBS Podcast Que Golazo: “I’m sure that Szoboszlai is moving in January. In around two weeks, we’ll know where he is going. Arsenal and AC Milan are looking at his situation, but there are other clubs. Keep an eye on Arsenal because they need exactly this type of player.”

TBR View – Arsenal should go all-in for young talent

The Gunners have been woefully short of a creative spark this season and it’s an urgent area for Arteta to address.

Szoboszlai would arrive with great potential and as a player who boasts experience in the Champions League – despite his tender years.

Reaching the top four is the aim for the Gunners, although this season that already seems a long-shot, to say the least.

Szoboszlai is the sort of player who could seriously revive the club’s fortunes in future years.

With that in mind, Arsenal should pull out the stops and land the starlet in January.
