Keenan Ferguson has confirmed on Instagram that he has completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur following a successful trial period with the north London club – following his release from Sheffield United earlier this summer.
Ferguson, 20, is naturally a right-back and was a constant member of the Sheffield United Under-23 side last season. Spurs have lost Kyle Walker-Peters this summer to Southampton, though they have brought in Matt Doherty from Wolves.
Described as an athletic right-back with pace and power on Sheffield United’s official website, Ferguson was released earlier this summer along with a number of under-23 players by the Blades following the end of his contract.
That saw Tottenham decide to bring him to the club on a trial period initially, and has now confirmed on Instagram that he has has signed a permanent contract – though it is unclear how long a deal he has agreed at Spurs.

Even before he confirmed his signing for Spurs, Ferguson played in Tottenham under-23’s first Premier League 2 game. The clash against Brighton on Saturday ended in a 1-1 draw, in which Kazaiah Sterling scored for Spurs.
Football London claim that Ferguson is unlikely to be the last addition Tottenham make this summer, after he became their fourth signing following moves for Joe Hart, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Doherty.
