Liverpool are one of several clubs currently monitoring the availability of talented teenager Karim Adeyemi.

According to Sky Sports Germany, the former Premier League champions are firmly in the mix for the 19-year-old.

On current form, he has the capability to illuminate Anfield and he’s a player that Liverpool are wise to go for.

During 2021/22 he’s really kicked on and is currently sat on 14 goals in all competitions, with three coming in the Champions League.

Adeyemi typically operates as a centre forward. He has been capped three times for Germany and has a plethora of clubs interesting him.

The style which Jurgen Klopp likes to deploy should suit him though. Liverpool play a similar system to that of Red Bull Salzburg and as a result, that might just sway him towards the Reds.

Adeyemi is unlikely to cost a fortune either. Liverpool have been quoted just £33 million for the striker and in today’s market that represents a steal.

With that in mind, the Reds have to pounce and they can’t let another club sign the talented German wonderkid.

Future sensation: What would Adeyemi bring to Liverpool?

With Roberto Firmino now nearing his thirties, the Reds will naturally start to think about the future.

Divock Origi is never going to replace the Brazilian and a new player to operate through the middle will be sought.

Adeyemi boasts a lot of flair for a striker and ultimately he’s proving a goal machine in Austria right now.

His energy would see him fit seamlessly into Klopp’s all-action style and given his market valuation, he’d be a real bargain.

Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle has offered some advice on what Liverpool could expect. He told Der Standard, via DW: “Karim has almost everything a striker needs. His quality and speed are brutal.”

Signing him shouldn’t be particularly difficult. Liverpool didn’t do loads of shopping in the summer and that could bode well.

The club are likely to have something left in the kitty and if a deal could be done in January it could be ideal for the Reds.

Liverpool fans should love his style of play and at 19, he’s still got his best years firmly ahead of him.

Klopp has to move heaven and earth to land Adeyemi as quickly as possible.
