Spurs got off to the perfect start under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo today, seeing off Manchester City thanks to a Heung-Min Son goal.
Santo left Harry Kane out of the squad and went with the dynamic front three of Son, Lucas, and Steven Bergwijn, and it paid off for the Portuguese coach.
Tottenham fully deserved their win in the end and despite periods of City dominating, it was Son’s goal which sealed the three points.
As usual following any Premier League game, there was a plethora of reaction online and on social media, from fans and former players alike.
Ardiles, Chimbonda and O’Hara praise Spurs
Talksport regular and self-confessed Spurs fan O’Hara is always pretty vocal in his views on his former club. And he was on Twitter immediately following the game, singing the praises of Tottenham.
Someone who is more of a legend at the club is Ossie Ardiles. The Argentinian, while not as frequent a tweeter as O’Hara, was also quick to congratulate Santo and his team.
Finally, another cult hero from Spurs’ past, Pascal Chimbonda, was on his Instagram account giving his thoughts on the win over City.

It seems very much like this could be the start of something special for Spurs, albeit after one game. Fans, former players, and the current squad are all buzzing, and rightly so.
