Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has insisted that his side will “regroup” after their midweek defeat to Everton.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were beaten 2-1 on Wednesday night in a Premier League fixture against Everton.

The Yorkshire giants have remarkable now lost two consecutive games at Elland Road, but won their two previous away games.

They host Crystal Palace in their next match on Monday and will be striving for some consistency.

Despite some mixed results, it’s been a superb return to the top-flight for them and they are currently 11th in the league standings.

Phillips has uploaded a message on his Instagram after the Everton defeat and is already looking ahead to Monday.

The 25-year-old has really caught the eye during his first season in the Premier League and is now a regular England international.

TBR’s View:

Phillips appears to be extremely disappointed after the midweek loss, which goes to show the kind of winning mentality he’s got and he’s not satisfied with a mid-table finish this season.

With the division so unpredictable this year, there is a real chance for Leeds to push for a top-10 finish during their first season back.

It’s hard for any side to put together a long run of positive results this season, but that has to be the aim for Bielsa’s men.
