Kalvin Phillips was amongst those to send messages of support to Rodrigo after the Leeds United forward confirmed on Instagram that he has tested positive for Covid-19.
Leeds announced on their official website ahead of Monday’s clash with Leicester City that Rodrigo would miss the game.

It was confirmed that the Spain international was self-isolating after coming in close contact with someone who had tested positive.
Unfortunately, it has now transpired that Rodrigo has himself tested positive. He suggested that he would miss Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace and hinted at also being unavailable for the upcoming international break.

The good news is that Rodrigo also added that he and his family were feeling well…
Unsurprisingly, rafts of people sent messages of support. And amongst those to reach out on social media was Phillips…

On the pitch, it has been a real blow for Leeds to lose the likes of Phillips and Rodrigo in recent times. Their absence was arguably noticeable as Marcelo Bielsa’s side were beaten 4-1 in their latest game this week.
But it is encouraging news that Rodrigo is clearly in good spirits. And hopefully it will not be too long before he is able to pick up where he left off.
