Kalvin Phillips has commented on Helder Costa’s Instagram post after Leeds United earned a stunning 5-0 win over Stoke City on Thursday evening – labelling the Portugal international as a “real bargain”.

Helder Costa provided the initial difference as Leeds took a mammoth step to automatic promotion with the convincing win over Michael O’Neill’s side. Costa won the penalty with a solo run, before scoring Leeds’ second.

Patrick Bamford, Pablo Hernandez and Liam Cooper also got their names on the score sheet as Leeds returned to the top of the Championship table. Costa’s performance came days after he signed a permanent four-year deal.

TalkSPORT claim a deal was worth £16million, after Leeds organised a loan deal that would be made permanent this summer. Costa posted on Instagram after the win, underlining his delight to have scored.

Costa has now played 44 times in for Leeds this season, having a hand in 12 goals – netting five times himself and creating another seven. He has been overshadowed at times by Jack Harrison, who has 14 goal involvements.

However, Phillips was more than impressed with the former Benfica, Wolves and Monaco winger for his efforts on Thursday night – commenting on his Instagram and saying that Leeds have landed a “real bargain”.

Barry Douglas also commented, claiming Costa was “different gravy”.
