Leeds United suffered a big defeat in the Championship yesterday, losing 2-1 to Millwall at the New Den.
The West Yorkshire side’s task in London was not made any easier when Gaetano Berardi was sent his marching orders in the 14th minute. It came after an apparent trip on Tom Bradshaw in the penalty box, with Jed Wallace scoring the resulting penalty. Bradshaw then gave Millwall a 2-0 lead before Gjanni Alioski pulled one back.
Despite plenty of pressure, Leeds could not secure a draw and drop to fifth in the Championship as a result of the defeat.

Plenty of Leeds fans were not happy with the result and were very vocal about their frustrations on Twitter.
In fact, even an infamous Sky Sports pundit following the game admitted it seemed a bad call.
Chris ‘Kammy’ Kamara was at the game and tweeted out his opinion that it was a harsh decision to give a penalty and send the Swiss defender off for the eighth time in his Elland Road career.
Kamara, who also played for Leeds winning the Second Division in 1990 with the Whites, had a Leeds player agreeing with him.
Kalvin Phillips retweeted Kammy’s message and it is clear that the Yorkshire Pirlo was not happy with James Linington’s decision either.
There is no doubt that the decision seemed harsh on Leeds. Contact, at best, was minimal and even then a red card did not seem fair considering Phillips was covering for the Swiss defender.
Leeds fans will now just hope they win any appeal against the red card and Berardi can return to the team after the international break.
